Superstar Madison Lineup Set for 3rd Annual Wintersong Event
Last year’s Wintersong event sold out the Majestic Theater raising over $2,500 for the Second Harvest Food Bank. This year’s event is presented by Majestic Live and the Barrymore Theater and will be held at the Barrymore on Atwood Avenue on Saturday, December 13 at 8 pm.
The biggest folk music event of the year, Wintersong is head up by Anna Vogelzang who organized the debut in 2012 as a way of giving back to the community for a year of support and to donate to a worthy local cause. It’s also an opportunity to highlight the tremendous breadth and scope of talent that fit the bill. And boy do they have a lineup of stellar performers.
In addition to Vogelzang there will be appearances by Count This Penny, Corey Hart, Paul Otteson & Faux Fawn, Whitney Mann, Crane Your Swan Neck, and Dietrich Gosser. The fact that these performers will join each other in various combinations makes Wintersong a truly unique musical experience. The performers will cover seasonal favorites and holiday tunes. Additionally there will be a raffle with prizes from many local businesses, including the grand prize of a $300 dinner at L’Etoile Restaurant
Tickets are on sale now at these outlets: B-Side Records, Frugal Muse, Strictly Discs, Star Liquor, MadCity Music Exchange, Sugar Shack and the Barrymore. You can also order by phone at 608-241-8633, or order online at BarrymoreLive.com. $15 in advance/$18 at the door (reduced to $15 with nonperishable food donation) and $10 for children 12 and under. All attendees are encouraged to bring food donations.

Since 2012 Wintersong has raised 10,200 meals for those suffering from hunger in our area. In addition to helping those in need you can pick up some swell holiday gifts. All these artists have outstanding recordings and other merch. Show your love in a big way at Wintersong.
