Band Boats New Members, New Recordings

Local rock/funk/prog band Chaos Revolution Theory will celebrate their fourth anniversary with a two-set show at the Alchemy on Saturday night, September 14. The show starts at 11 PM with an acoustic set followed by a late-night performance.

The band is sporting two new members in the rhythm section, drummer Phil Kegley and percussionist Sean Karwath. They join bassist James Gieshen and guitarist and vocalist Nick Stanecki Shaggy.

Chaos Revolution Theory has a new CD available. Against the Grain  is an acoustic collection of songs that includes a live acoustic performance from earlier this year. The disc is available at the show. You can check out the band’s 2010 release Counter Culture Redux at CD Baby.

The band is busy recording songs for a new CD to be released in 2014.

If you’ve not been to the Alchemy, this is a good chance to check out the intimate setting and the incredible beer selection (the food is good too!). There is a long history of live music that has been supported at this venue for decades. Show ’em your love.
